Environmental Stewardship is a Core Part of Our Operations

Given that we work with several substances that are harmful to the environment, we have ensured that all aspects of our operations reflect our best possible efforts to minimize environmental impact. In addition to our own practices, we also guide our customers on the most environmentally friendly use, handling, and disposal of products and packaging. We focus on environmental considerations in our product development as well and strive to produce products that are as environmentally friendly as possible.

In Our Operations, We Consider the Environment in the Following Ways:

  • The facilities of Fintex-Tetrakem Oy are specifically designed for the production of adhesives and paints, and the potential environmental impacts of the raw materials used in production have been eliminated through careful planning.
  • The factory’s storage area is bunded, and the drainage system is designed to prevent harmful chemicals from entering the sewer network.
  • Packaging materials and containers are recycled. Hazardous waste generated from operations is delivered to Ekokem Oy for treatment.
  • Emissions to the atmosphere are minimal because the production process has largely transitioned to water-based products, and raw materials are handled in a closed system during production.

  • Permit for the Production and Storage of Flammable Liquids: Technical Inspection Center, 30.7.1990. Safety Technology Authority (TUKES), 20.2.2001 (Permit responsibility transferred to the municipal chemical authority due to the limited handling and storage of chemicals, i.e., Tampere Regional Rescue Department and Kangasala Regional Health Center).
